Nursing care: the care that travels to you

Nursing is the only specialty in the Maouidi list that travels to you rather than the other way round. A nurse carries out prescribed acts — injections, dressings, monitoring readings — and neither diagnoses nor prescribes. Every home-care request therefore starts from a prescription or from hospital discharge instructions.

  • A prescribed course of injections that is hard to travel for every day.
  • An older or frail person for whom going out, even briefly, is an obstacle.

What the visit looks like

The nurse comes to you. Have the prescription ready, any discharge reports, the prescribed materials if you are the one supplying them, and a clean, well-lit space to work in.

Tell them everything you are currently taking and any known allergy before they start. If something falls outside what was prescribed, their role is to stop and send you back to the doctor rather than improvise.

Booking on Maouidi

  1. Install the Maouidi app on Android and create an account with your phone number.

  2. Search by specialty, then filter by wilaya.

  3. Open the practitioner or clinic profile: address, services, and how they take bookings.

  4. Pick your slot. Some practitioners work in fixed time slots, others hand out queue numbers for the day — the app shows which one each of them uses.

  5. Confirm. The appointment appears in the app, together with your queue number if the practitioner works that way.

  6. Turn up at the time or the number shown. Consultations are paid at the clinic. If something comes up, cancel in the app ahead of time so the place goes to someone else.

Home care follows a different path from a clinic appointment: you send a request, the provider proposes a price, that price can be discussed over a limited number of rounds, and once agreed the app shows the price and the total before payment. Do I need a prescription?

Yes for prescribed nursing acts: the nurse carries out what the doctor prescribed and does not prescribe themselves. Have the prescription or discharge report ready before sending the request.

How is the price set?

There is no single tariff: the provider proposes a price for your request, it can be discussed over a limited number of rounds, and the app then shows the total before payment. Maouidi does not impose partner pricing.

Is home care suitable for an emergency?

No. Home care is a scheduled service with a request, an agreement and a payment. An emergency belongs at an emergency department or with the emergency services.
