How to book a doctor’s appointment in Algeria with Maouidi

Booking happens in the Android app, not on this website. There are six steps and they take a few minutes once you know which specialty you need — which is exactly where most of the time goes.

Before you start

  • An Android phone: the Maouidi app is published on the Play Store. The iOS version is not available yet.
  • A phone number to create your account with.
  • Knowing which specialty to look for. If you are unsure, start with the specialty guide, or book a general practitioner who will point you on.
  • Your wilaya: that filter is what cuts the list down to what you can actually reach.

The steps

  1. Install the app and create an account

    Search for Maouidi on the Play Store, install it, then create your account with your phone number. Downloading and registering are free.

  2. Search by specialty

    Pick the specialty from the list. The labels used in the app are exactly the ones used on this site, so what you read here you find there word for word.

  3. Filter by wilaya

    The wilaya filter leaves only the practitioners you can reach. You can also filter by category and by availability.

  4. Open the practitioner or clinic profile

    Check the address, the services listed, and how they take bookings before you reserve. That profile is what separates a suitable appointment from a wasted day.

  5. Choose your slot and confirm

    Depending on the practitioner: a fixed time slot, or a queue number for a given day. Once confirmed, the appointment appears in the app, with the queue number where one applies.

  6. Turn up, and pay at the practice

    Arrive at the time or the number shown. Clinic consultations are settled on site; Maouidi charges the patient nothing for a clinic appointment.

Time slot or queue number?

This is not a choice you make; it is a setting each practitioner picks for their practice. One working in slots gives you a specific time. One working with queue numbers gives you a position in a given day: you turn up and the queue moves as consultations run.

The difference is practical rather than technical: a slot lets you plan a day to the minute, a queue number gives more flexibility but a less predictable wait. Check the profile before booking, especially if you are coming with a child or an older relative.

If something comes up

Cancel in the app as early as you can rather than simply not turning up: the place you free goes to someone else, and the app itself notes that repeated missed appointments can affect your booking experience later.

If you are only running late, call the practice if you can: whether to accept a late arrival is their decision, not the platform’s.

Common questions

Can I book directly from the website?

No. This site is informational; booking happens inside the Maouidi Android app. The site performs no bookings.

Is the app available on iPhone?

Not yet. The published version today is Android only, through the Play Store; the iOS version has not been released yet.

Does booking cost anything?

Downloading the app and creating an account are free, and the consultation is paid at the practice. Online payment on Maouidi applies only to home-care requests.

I cannot find any practitioner in my wilaya — why?

Because the network is built wilaya by wilaya. Reaching all 69 wilayas is Maouidi’s stated goal, not a description of current coverage: if your wilaya is not covered yet, that is the reason. And if you are a health professional, joining is precisely what changes it.
